SIDEBAR INFORMATION

We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month @7:00 at:
1717 Washington Street,
Kansas City MO, 64108
Google MAP

MEETINGS and COVID-19:
The City of KCMO mask mandate for meetings is no longer in effect. You may still wear a mask if you like. We will also continue to Zoom the meeting to those members that don't feel comfortable at an in-person meeting or just can't attend the meeting in person. The Zoom details will be emailed to members the week before the meeting.

THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING:
December 8th Regular Meeting:

Annual Holiday Party. You will get an announcement by email. Please RSVP so we know food quantity. We will have a nice meal together at the clubhouse, talk about the past year, chat with old friends and maybe make some new ones. The entire household is invited. Please RSVP for this event so we can purchase the right amount of food. The club will furnish sandwiches, cold drinks, wine, plates, utensils and napkins. The members please bring a salad or dessert to share. There will be a woodturned gift exchange (if you bring something you will get something).
December 8th Woodturning Challenge:
No Challenge this month due to Holiday Party.

RENEWED 2026 Members: Your new 2026 KCWT Membership Cards will be available by the January 12th Regular Meeting and will be located in the metal cardfile box in the Clubhouse Lobby window. Pick yours up anytime the clubhouse is open (see the Guild open shop schedule).

NEW 2026 Members: Your new KCWT Name Badges and Membership Cards will be stored on the KC Woodturners badge rack inside the front door to the right of the clubhouse main entrance door.

Current KCWT membership cards give members 10% discount on non-electrical items at Woodcraft, Metro Hardwoods, Schutte Lumber, Rockler, Penn State, and Klingspor. This 10% discount is an enormous member benefit. Many members use this benefit to pay for their dues many times over.

FUTURE MEETING DEMOS:
KC Woodturners annual Holiday party.

OPEN TURNING:
Open Turning in our lathe room is scheduled for Wednesday (except 3rd Wednesday) and Thursday evenings 6:00pm to 9:00pm and on Saturday mornings 8:30am-noon. All eight lathes are available for use. You can always drop by and talk about a project. Coffee is free and so is the advice.

FUTURE EVENTS:

Santas Workshop - November 22nd and 23rd (Sat, Sun):
This is a major event for both of our clubs. Over a thousand young kids will watch toy trucks being made by the Guild. The Woodturners will turn tops to be placed in the toy truck bed for hauling around. The KC Woodturners will also sell donated items at this event. Club members can sell their turnings using the club's credit card reader for a 20% percent fee. This is a great time to sell Holiday related items. We will need volunteers to help sell items, turn tops, and talk about our club to anybody interested. If you use cash or your own credit card reader then you keep all your sales (no 20% fee).

KC Woodturners Holiday Party - December 8th (Mon):
Please RSVP using the email sent to all members.
