SIDEBAR INFORMATION

We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month @7:00 at:
1717 Washington Street,
Kansas City MO, 64108
Google MAP

MEETINGS and COVID-19:
The City of KCMO mask mandate for meetings is no longer in effect. You may still wear a mask if you like. We will also continue to Zoom the meeting to those members that don't feel comfortable at an in-person meeting or just can't attend the meeting in person. The Zoom details will be emailed to members the week before the meeting.

THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING:
January 12th Regular Meeting:

Anthony Harris will do this month's demo. He has not decided exactly what he will demo but I'm sure it will be very enjoyable. If he lets me know the demo topic in advance I will let everybody know.
January 12th Woodturning Challenge:
Make something emerging from a woodturning. You can revue this subject by reading the November Woodchips newsletter.

RENEWED 2026 Members: Your new 2026 KCWT Membership Cards will be available by the January 12th Regular Meeting and will be located in the metal cardfile box in the Clubhouse Lobby window. Pick yours up anytime the clubhouse is open (see the Guild open shop schedule).

NEW 2026 Members: Your new KCWT Name Badges and Membership Cards will be stored on the KC Woodturners badge rack inside the front door to the right of the clubhouse main entrance door.

Current KCWT membership cards give members 10% discount on non-electrical items at Woodcraft, Metro Hardwoods, Schutte Lumber, Rockler, Penn State, and Klingspor. This 10% discount is an enormous member benefit. Many members use this benefit to pay for their dues many times over.

FUTURE MEETING DEMOS:
February 9th Regular Meeting:

Curtis Cowman will do this month's demo. His topic will be talking about the innovative application of common tools used in woodturning.

OPEN TURNING:
Open Turning in our lathe room is scheduled for Wednesday (except 3rd Wednesday) and Thursday evenings 6:00pm to 9:00pm and on Saturday mornings 8:30am-noon. All eight lathes are available for use. You can always drop by and talk about a project. Coffee is free and so is the advice.
